The solidarity economy is an emerging economic framework grounded in real practice and anchored in principles of solidarity, cooperation, participatory democracy, equality in all dimensions and sustainability.

On January 22, the Global Week of Action towards Another Possíble World start with an activity to introduce the “Solidarity Economy” as an alternative economic framework that is grounded in solidarity and cooperation, rather than the pursuit of narrow, individual self-interest.
It promotes social and economic democracy, equity in all dimensions (race, class, gender, etc), and sustainability.
