The Cotonou 2026 World Social Forum is on track. Since the founding meeting in Kathmandu and the successive coordination meetings, the international organizing process has been considerably strengthened.
The Mexico meeting, which brought together delegates from more than 80 countries, made it possible to finalize the main thematic directions and the preparation schedule. African civil society organizations play a central role in this dynamic, driven by the belief that Africa has an essential contribution to make to the global debate on alternatives.
Cotonou, a dynamic city in Benin, is preparing to welcome thousands of participants from all five continents for five days of debates, workshops, and meetings from August 4 to 8, 2026.
