[pt] Todas as bandeiras por outro mundo [en] Banners come together for a different world

[pt]Sem-terras, feministas, negros, indígenas, palestinos, sindicalistas, GLTBs e ampla gama de outros ativistas marcou presença na tradicional marcha de abertura do Fórum Social Mundial, neste dia 25, em Porto Alegre. A diversidade e pluralidade deram colorido especial à caminhada, em que todas as bandeiras por outro mundo possível e necessário se encontraram.

Milhares participaram da caminhada, numa mostra de que continua a crença na aposta feita desde o início do processo fórum, de que, mediante o fortalecimento de articulações e ações coletivas, é possível construir essa trajetória por justiça global, democracia plena e respeito aos direitos humanos fundamentais.

[en] The landless, feminists, blacks, indigenous, Palestinians, trade unionists, GLBTs and a whole range of other activists were present on the traditional opening march of the World Social Forum on the 25th, in Porto Alegre. Diversity and plurality lent a special colour to the walk, in which all banners came together in support of the possibility, and necessity, of a different world.
Thousands participated in the walk as a show of continued belief in the ideals laid out since the forum began: that, through the strengthening of collective action and communication, it is possible to construct a path towards global justice, complete democracy and respect for fundamental human rights.
