1) Get involved in the WEF!
Social forums bear the potential they do because they bring together a
diversity of people, organizations, experiences and projects, in a spirit of
encounter, sharing and collaboration. But this is not only characteristic of
the event itself: it is also the heart of its organization process.
It is with this in mind that we call on all organizations, associations,
networks, social movements and persons in Palestine and worldwide, who are
concerned with or active in the fields of education, who are interested in
the World Social Forum process, and/or who stand in solidarity with the
Palestinian people, to contribute to the preparation of the World Education
Forum in Palestine. Wherever you are, whatever you do, there is a lot you can
do for the WEF-Palestine!
We first of all invite you to participate in the WEF as an activity organizer
or delegate : you have until August 26th to register a self-organized
activity in the WEF program through our online registration forms!
But we also invite you to mobilize other organizations and persons to
participate in the WEF, as activity organizers or delegates. You can spread
the word and contribute to making the WEF-Palestine a rich experience for
all, by:
* Advertising the WEF-Palestine website on your own website!

* Subscribing to our newsletter (you will find the subscribe button at the
bottom left corner on the main page), and forwarding it to your contacts
and/or members!
* Forwarding and distributing our information and mobilization material:
postcard, brochure, poster, etc. Contact us if you need printed copies for
distribution.
* Raising funds for the WEF or making a donation.
* Joining the volunteer team or recruiting volunteers for the WEF
organization process and for the event itself.
* Join the work of the sub-committees in Haifa, Jerusalem, Gaza and Lebanon.
* Join the existing international support groups of the WEF or create one in
your own country.
* Publishing texts about the WEF and related themes on your website and in
the media.

2) Registration for participation in the WEF-Palestine is now open!
…. FEES
Individual and Organizational Participants to the WEF-Palestine must pay the
following fees :
Organizations :
* OECD organizations : 50 $ per organization. Includes one delegate. 10 $
per extra delegate. Organizations can register a maximum total of 5
delegates : extra delegates should pay the individual fee.
* Global South and Palestinian organizations : 30 $ per organization.
Includes one delegate. 5 $ per extra delegate. Organizations can register
a maximum of 5 delegates : extra delegates should pay the individual fee.
Individual participants :
OECD individuals : 30 $ per participant.
Global South individuals : 20 $ per participant.
Palestinian individual : 5 $ per participant (15 NIS).
No one will be refused entry for financial reasons.
Tabling Booths :
Tabling booths will be available for organizations wishing to distribute
information/mobilization material, and for local merchants wishing to sell
artisanal products, food, etc. The WEF team will provide a location, a table
and chairs for the duration of the WEF event to those who register a tabling
booth.
For international organizations (outside Palestine): 100 $
for Palestinian organizations and merchants : 50 $
Tabling booth registration can be done and paid for either online or through
cheque/bank transfer.

(for individuals & organizations located outside Palestine)
Individuals & organizations located outside Palestine can register for
participation online, through the WEF website!
For this, you must first create a user account
http://www.wef-palestine.org/user/register on the website. You will then be
able to choose to Register for Participation
http://www.wef-palestine.org/register-for-participation through your user
menu. Please note that organizations who have already created user accounts
on the website to register self-organized activities may use the same user
account to register participants.
Your online payment will be operated by the Paypal secure online payment
system: if you don’t have a Paypal account, you will be asked to create one.
The Paypal account is different then and independent from your WEF website
user account.

(for individuals and organizations located in the West bank, Gaza and Inside
the Green Line)

There are three payment options: by online bank transfer (from your own
account or through the Arab bank website), direct deposit (at Western Union
or an Arab Bank location, for example), and writing a cheque. Please select
the right bank account number according to the currency you wish to pay in:

If you wish to pay by cheque, you will need to write an email to PNGO (click
on the link http://www.pngo.net/default.asp?i=177 to contact Mr. Muntasar
Arar) for more information on where to send the cheque.
IMPORTANT: You must confirm your payment to PNGO (please find the email
address and fax number by clicking on the link
http://www.pngo.net/default.asp?i=177) and indicate the number and NAMES of the persons and organizations registered, so that their registration can be
validated when they enter the WEF. You will receive a payment receipt.
3) Self-organized activities Registration Process!
The registration process for self-organized activities (self-organized
workshops, expanded activities, and cultural activities) is now open! The
deadline for registering an activity is August 26th.
All the information you need on the registration process is available on the
WEF website in its Registration section http://www.wef-palestine.org/node/92.
Note that only organizations and groups can propose activities for the
WEF-Palestine, and that you will be asked to create a user account in order
to register an activity.
Don’t forget that self-organized workshops as well as expanded activities
(self-organized activities taking place throughout the world during the
WEF-Palestine, as part of its program) can establish direct live
communication with other WEF locations and activities through an Interlink
system.
