Last days for registering activities of WEF Palestine!

Dear friends of the WEF-Palestine!

We would like to remind you that the deadline for registering activities of
the World Education Forum in Palestine (October 28th – 31st) is SEPTEMBER
15th!

This newsletter includes the following items:
1. Registration process
2. Come to register your activity at “Markaz Baladna” – Ramallah!
3. Registration fees
4. How to pay your registration fees
5. Getting a visa

We encourage you to register activities to make the World Education Forum in
Palestine an enriching and successful experience for all!

1. Registration process

To register an activity, you need to create an user account and to fill out
the registration forms. You can do so in only 7 steps:

You can have access to the three registration forms online by clicking on the
following links, AFTER YOU HAVE CREATED YOUR ACCOUNT AND LOGGED IN:
-self-organized activities and workshops (at a WEF location)
-expanded activities (at a location other than a WEF venue, elsewhere in the
world)
-cultural activities (at a WEF location)

IMPORTANT NOTE: at the bottom of the registration form you can choose to (1)
save your activity as a draft or (2) submit it. All drafts must be submitted
online before September 15th.

Organizations who register activities should pay the registration fee no
later than 0ctober 1st, after their activities are approved by the program
committee.
Participants who are not organizing activities, but who will attend the Forum
can pay the registration fee until Mid-October (this date will be confirmed
later).

2. Come to register your activity at “Markaz Baladna” – Ramallah!

You can come to register your activity on September 14th, 15th and 16th in
Markaz Baladna, Ramallah (from 9am to 4pm). For more information about the
location and registration days, please call the Markaz Baladna WEF office: 2
297 34 83.

Don’t forget to have the following information on your activity:
-title of the activity,
-event size,
-theme,
-location,
-activity type
-language of activity,
-a short description of the activity
– if you have specific time slot requirements
– if you need audio-visual material
– if you wish your activity to be transmitted as live streaming with a chat
room on the WEF website
– if you want to interlink your activity with activities in other WEF venues
or other locations throughout the world.

3. Registration fees

* Fees for activity organizers

Organizations who register an activity should pay the registration fee for
organizations AFTER THEIR ACTIVITY IS ACCEPTED ONLINE by the program
committee.

– OECD organizations: 50 $ per organization. Includes one delegate. 10 $ per
extra delegate. Organizations can register a maximum total of 5 delegates:
extra delegates should pay the individual fee.
E.g.: You are a French organization and you want to register a self-organized
workshop in Ramallah. If for example three delegates of your organization are
coming, you will have to pay the following fee:
50$ (organization, including 1 delegate) + 10$ (1 extra delegate) + 10$ (1
extra delegate) = 70$

– Global South and Palestinian organizations: 30 $ per organization. Includes
one delegate. 5 $ per extra delegate. Organizations can register a maximum of
5 delegates: extra delegates should pay the individual fee (see below).
E.g.: You are a Brazilian organization and you want to register a cultural
activity in Haifa. If for example 6 delegates of your organization are
coming, you will have to pay the following fee:
30$ (organization, including 1 delegate) + 20$ (4 times 5$) + 20$ (Global
South individual fee for the 6th delegate) = 70$

* Fees for participants

Individuals who participate in the Forum (and who don’t organize an
activity) should pay the registration fee for individuals.
OECD individuals: 30 $ per participant.

Global South individuals: 20 $ per participant.
Palestinian individual: 5 $ per participant (15 NIS).
No one will be refused entry for financial reasons.

4. How to pay your registration fees

* For individuals and organizations located outside Palestine

Individuals & organizations located outside Palestine can register for
participation online, through the WEF website!

For this, you must first create a user account on the website (bottom of the
page). You will then be able to choose to Register for Participation through
your user menu. Please note that organizations who have already created user
accounts on the website to register self-organized activities may use the
same user account to register participants.

Your online payment will be operated by the Paypal secure online payment
system: if you don’t have a Paypal account, you will be asked to create one.
The Paypal account is different then and independent from your WEF website
user account.

* For individuals and organizations located in the West Bank, Gaza and
Palestine48:

You will find here payment instructions for individuals and organizations
located in the West bank, Gaza and Inside the Green Line. There are three
payment options:

– by online bank transfer (from your own account or through the Arab bank
website)

– direct deposit (at Western Union or an Arab Bank location, for
example)

– writing a cheque.

Please select the right bank account number according to the currency you
wish to pay in:

If you wish to pay by cheque, you will need to write 5958

IMPORTANT: You must confirm your payment to PNGO: by email
pngonet(at)pngo.net or fax +970 2 2950704. Please indicate the number and
NAMES of the persons and organizations registered, so that their registration
can be validated when they enter the WEF. You will receive a payment receipt.

5. Getting a visa

Citizens from certain countries need to apply for a visa in advance, while
other nationalities can get a visa directly at the Israeli border. Please
contact the Israeli consulate in your own country, or the embassy /consulate
of your country in Israel. The Israeli tourist visa is usually issued for a
period of three months.

If needed, we can provide you with an invitation letter. Please send an email
to info(at)wef-palestine.org.
