The World Social Forum Free Palestine will testify a part of the larger event “Nuclear Free Middle East”, from AAO, the Artists Against Occupation initiative from Tokyo.
They’ve already shown their films, projections and installations about the Palestinian struggle in cities like Tokyo, London (Canada), Philadelphia and Montreal. “Our role it to report the Japanese experience with Hiroshima, Nagasaki and also Fukushima”, says Mizuko Yakuma, one of the artists involved in the activity.
They will screen the film “Hiroshima: truth under an atomic cloud” and will also project art pieces about the Intifada in the external walls of the building. “I hope we can deepen our understanding about the Palestinian cause and therefore get closer to them”, concludes Yakuma.
